I will admit, my perfectionism kicks into high gear whenever I am faced with presenting a part of myself to the world (e.g. writing this blog post, or leading a meeting at work, or teaching a yoga class). My perfectionism leaves me paralyzed with nothing but a sea of self-doubt, unspoken words, unfinished paragraphs, and disappointment. I know I am not alone here.

Fear is what it pretty much boils down to.

Fear of letting the messiness seep out from behind the tightly packed walls. The fear of being seen for who we really are. The fear of disapproval from those we care about. The fear of the unknown. The fear of failure. It’s an exhausting way to live, my friends, and it keeps us from showing up & sharing our beautifully authentic self with others.

From here on out, I commit to leaning face first into fear to see what’s available for me on the other side. First step, share this blog post.

Next step, take over the world. Just Kidding. Well sort of…

Sharing something that isn’t perfect is scary, but the moments that scare the shit of you are indeed the biggest teachers.

Cheers to a lifetime of learning & becoming an unstoppable fear-fighting warrior.

What would you do right now, in this moment, if you weren’t afraid?
